Asisat Oshoala is the African Player of the Year for the Third Time

Asisat Oshoala has set the year rolling on a high level as she wins the African player of the year again for the third time.

She won the award for the first time in the year 2014, then she won it again in the year 2016 and now 2017 consecutively.

In her statement, Asisat Oshoala said, "It's been an emotional year for me personally, when I left Arsenal Ladies in the UK, many said my career would be gone but I told myself I can do it & here I am today. To the young ones out there let no one down you, you can do it."
